Week 5 | Thursday - Seed for the Sower
He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.
2 CORINTHIANS 9:10, ESV
It’s true that you reap what you sow. It’s also true that the more you sow, the more you will reap. But have you ever stopped to consider where the seed comes from in the first place? Think about it. Where does the ability to give anything come from? According to 2 Corinthians 9:10, the ability to give comes from God. It is God “who supplies seed to the sower.” So if you want to sow into God’s kingdom, He provides the seed!
Here’s what that means for you today. Maybe you went on this Beyond journey and asked God to speak to you. Maybe you felt God tell you to give something crazy, something beyond what’s even possible. And if so, here’s the good news: You don’t have to worry. You don’t have to wonder where the provision will come from. God will supply the seed. In fact, He wants to multiply your seed so you can give even more. And then He will bless you in return. It’s a beautiful cycle of obedience, provision, and blessing.
So remember, whenever God asks you to give, He isn’t trying to get something from you—He wants to get something to you. He will provide the seed. You simply have to obey. And the end result is a harvest of righteousness!
